This is a 2 part recipe for cake and frosting.
Position a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Lightly grease a 13-by-9-inch pan.
To make cake, combine the flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda and salt. In a large bowl, using electric mixer, beat oil and sugar until combined.
Beat in the vinegar and almond extract.
Blend in dry ingredients.
Stir in cherry topping.
Scrape the bowl and spread batter in pan.
Bake for 35 minutes. Cool completely, and serve.
Beat together 1 cup milk, chocolate pudding and whipped topping.
Spread frosting over the cake in the pan.
